Della Rae Mae is a world traveler who eventually settled in the Missouri Ozarks. She loves cooking, gardening (especially herbs and flowers), horseback riding, and the violin. She is inspired by both the sunrise and the sunset, waterfalls and rainy days, and the undying support and encouragement of her devoted husband.
Why did Della Rae Mae want to be a writer? Well, some things are just innate in who we are. For example, when I was in high school, I would reply to inquiries with my name and the phrase,” Words are my forte!” Of course, I had no idea what any of that meant! The concept of writing carried a mystical, over-the-horizon ambiance.
Now, here I sit with a plethora of experiences and realize writing rests as a solid and heavy anchor on the things we do, see, and feel throughout our life. The more experience we have, the more experiences we can write, and the more insight we have into human thought and feelings.
Back in those little girl days when I aspired to write books, naïveté ruled my thinking. Oh, yes! I had plenty of words and precious little experience to know what to do with them!
Life has changed all that! Now my experiences are many, and they are undergirded with deep faith and love of Almighty God. I hope you will find His strength and care in the midst of the pages of my characters’ dilemmas and identify with them as they learn that perfect love casts out fear!
And remember. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!
